The whole town's lined with flags 4 u this mornin'
The whole community is by ur side,
Those 4 whom u fought 4 freedom,
Will be there with somber hearts full of pride,

Isn't very often that a hero comes 2 town,
So it isn't very often that we have 2 lay 1 down,
And there are those who'd stand against u,
4 all that u stood 4,
Yet u defended their rights 2, when u went off 2 war,

And u by definition are the reason that we say,

Land of the Free,
Home of the Brave,

Some talk about goin'
Sayin there's somethin' they must do,
There's others 2 scared to sacrifice,
Then, of course, there's u,

So we'll say a prayer of peace 4 all of ur loved ones,

2day when they see all those flags flying,
And those people in that "chain",
Protecting the family of a soldier who didn't die in vain,

Cuz u made it possible 4 us all 2 stand and say,
